About Long Island Center
For Recovery

We keep it simple.

Long Island Center for Recovery Inc., a fifty-six-bed inpatient substance use disorder treatment facility, provides licensed medically supervised drug and alcohol detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation services to individuals dealing with addiction who are over the age of eighteen. Long Island Center for Recovery is certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports, and is also accredited by The Joint Commission.

We provide care to members of our local Long Island community, as well as those seeking rehabilitation services outside of the Long Island area from an accredited inpatient rehab center. In addition to the coordination of addiction treatment, Long Island Center for Recovery also works with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) providers to make your rehabilitation a simpler process, and so individuals can focus on what truly matters most, their treatment.

At Long Island Center for Recovery, our mission is to support the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of every individual who walks through our doors. We believe that recovery from a drug or alcohol addiction is possible—and that with appropriate guidance, every individual is capable of change.

Our addiction treatment programs combine traditional, evidence-based treatment with holistic approaches, delivered in both individual and group settings. We emphasize education, self-exploration, and healing through a balanced blend of therapeutic, experiential, and expressive modalities.

Rooted in the principles of 12-step philosophy, our approach promotes patience, caring and hope.

At Long Island Center for Recovery, recovery isn’t just about a reprieve from addiction, it’s about cultivating a life worth living.

Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Detox

For many individuals struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, a medically supervised and supported detoxification process is a critical first step before beginning inpatient addiction treatment. Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab

Long Island Center for Recovery offers structured inpatient substance use treatment for individuals struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction that are in need of an intensive, supportive rehab program within a safe and controlled environment at our Long Island rehab center. Inpatient rehab is often recommended for those experiencing moderate to severe substance use disorders, where a higher level of care is essential for recovery.

The typical length of stay in our inpatient drug and alcohol rehab program is approximately 28 days. Many individuals begin with a period of medically supervised detoxification before transitioning into the therapeutic phase of their addiction treatment plan. This comprehensive approach ensures that individuals are physically stabilized and fully prepared to engage in their recovery journey.
